When they said Serena Celia van der Woodsen, used her looks, oomph and energy to get whatever she wanted, they weren’t much wrong, you know.
While I used to watch Gossip Girl online, I could never comprehend how that statement perfectly, materialized.
But, this year, events around Serena’s real life certainly, prove the strength of all her above-mentioned qualities in getting her the best of everything.
Now, don’t try guessing for I would like to grab the honor of declaring her latest feat, myself.
The lead role in Oliver Stone’s forthcoming release Savages. Now, this role is huge, and so are the prospects of the movie for it not only is blessed with a glittering all-star cast, but it’s a hair-raising drug-thriller, created on realistic lines of international drug-trafficking.
Blake Lively bagged the lead role of Ophelia ‘O’, the common hippie girlfriend of two cannabis growers, Ben and Chon, who is kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel, after ist relationship with the two marijuana growers, turns messy.
Ben (Aaron Johnson) and Chon (Taylor Kitsch) will take on the drug cartel, in order to rescue their love, ‘O’ (Blake Lively).
Now there are reasons for us to tag this project as a huge catch for Blake, as pulp Fiction stars, John Travolta and Uma Thurman are casted in the film as a DEA agent, and O’s mother, respectively.
Apart from them, Latino beauty and celebrated actress, Salma Hayek, and Benicio Del Toro are also part of the project, as evil-Mexicans in the cartel.
As for Blake Lively, her character of the common hippie girlfriend really works in this case, for it is only she, who is able to understand both the guys, equally well. So, both the guys, one a graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, and the other, a former U.S. Navy SEAL, want her back for their own independent reasons, as at the end of the day, both of them loved her in their own ways.

It should be either girls or trannies for Blake Lively

Blake Lively is one of those bombshell actresses, who have been lucky enough to have dated four of the most handsome and desirable men in Hollywood, and remain in a relation ever since she grew old enough to be in one.
Kelly Blatz, Penn Badgley, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ryan Reynolds are the men Blake dated one after the other, and after all this, when Blake imagines or talks about children, it’s no more that shocking…is it?
No it isn’t, but what is shocking at the moment is her latest statement to the ELLE magazine. As reports confirmed, the actress famous for her role in Gossip Girl episodes, expressed her desire to give birth to a few girls, someday. And, if not girls, they should be ‘trannies’, who eventually would be able to able to appreciate her collection of bags, shoes and stories.
Her statement, though reflected the high levels of comfort that she Blake enjoys with the LSBT community, also stereotypes young transgender girls.
The word “Tranny’ has been used in pop-culture to denote transgender beings, and has been the subject a lot of controversy, of late.
Blake and Ryan met at the filming of Green Lantern, and have been together since then.
Well, with Blake going strong with Ryan at the moment, the babies might come, but only time will tell if it’s girls, boys or trannies.
At the moment, what Blake should be worrying about is the transgender gender community that might have taken her comment negatively, but what we should all know is that she came out with that comment in a different light altogether.
Hence, neither the LSBT community nor the media should be worrying about that comment. Instead, they should watch out for her willingness to accept one of them as a part and parcel of her life.

Though it is yet to be ascertained, whether it is good or bad, fortunate or unfortunate but Blake Lively’s personal life is certainly making more news these days.
Well, all those hiccups are evident even in her reel life, one would rather swear like anything with regards to the Gossip Girl episodes.
It wasn’t long time ago when this buzz came in that Blake Lively is into displaying her culinary skills at Sprinkles, New York.
The gorgeous actress tried her hands at the S’Mores cupcake, the proceeds of those Blake’s cakes being directed to the Oxfam.
Oxfam is notably well known for helping the Somalia disaster victims.
In midst of her growing romance with hunk Ryan Reynolds, rumors are being afloat that the diva might flip flop again into Leonardo DiCaprio’s life.
It is being said that Leonardo I still waiting for his erstwhile flame and as far as Blake Lively is concerned she’s more into the PR thing with regards to her on and off boyfriends.
However in an ambience marked with profound love when it is being touted that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds can enter into nuptials soon, Blake would have to look forth a concrete reason to break free.

Could Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Be Struggling With Commitment Issues?

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are strong contenders for being the new “it-couple” of Hollywood.
Not only do they look delicious together, but they also have that sparkling chemistry that we so love to see between couples!
However, it is beginning to seem that things aren’t as perfect as they seem to be between these lovebirds.
>From what it seems, Ryan is in a mood to rush things up, while his ladylove would rather take it all slowly.
(Isn’t it supposed to be the other way round?)
The first incident of this being the case that came to light, when the two went house-hunting recently.
While Ryan seemed enthusiastic about settling on a deal, Blake put on an apprehensive mask, and didn’t seem too sure to take the real-estate plunge with the new man in her life.
They reportedly visited the same site twice together, after which Blake made an individual trip, but no deal has been finalized yet.
Further proving that he was ready to take their relationship to the next level, Ryan took Blake to meet his parents at Utah, on Thanksgiving.
Now that’s surely the strongest hint that a man can give, to show that he is ready to slip on a ring, isn’t it?
It seems that Ryan isn’t quite over the stability and bliss of married life, after his two-year long marriage with Scarlett Johansson having come to an abrupt end.
On the other hand, Blake still has her entire career to look forward to, and probably does not have marriage on her mind, as yet.
Another reason behind Ryan flaunting the new woman in his life could be to get back at Scarlett, for rebounding with her previous boyfriend, Sean Penn, shortly after their separation.
Sigh!

Yeah, it is all going to be a part of the comedy drama.
Liz Hurley’s character, Diana Payne, would indeed be getting into the seedy mode with Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) on Gossip Girl.
Hmm, what I’m suspecting at the moment is that the Gossip Girl download spree would attain unprecedented levels.
The buzz was going strong for a while, that Nate would eventually fall for an elderly woman, but Diana Payne has also been showcased as a lady harboring certain malicious intentions.
Hope Nate survives that fiesta and is able to look through the rosy circumstances.
There had been an instance of an open-air romp, when Nate aided Diana in landing her with an interview with his momma.
Watch out for Liz Hurley for sure, as she hops on to the racy swing, in the current season, once again.
Well, it is a natural act, driven by sudden instincts and the ambience certainly doesn’t matter.
However, the duo would be turned on within the precincts of the office, this time around.
Media mogul (Diana) going crazy after a twenty-something boy-toy!
Quite a sensational storyline to follow out there!
As far as Nate is concerned, the viewers know that even this relationship with the cougar will have a shelf-life of its own.
It was Serena, followed by Blair Woldorf in the first season; then Catherine Beaton, a married woman who came into the picture.
This stint was to be bid farewell soon enough, when the mysterious woman, Bree Buckley arrived on the scene. This long saga of on and off relationships had culminated with Juliet Sharp, in the fourth season.
Phew!
Hope Nate has found his soul mate at last; or at least for the moment!
We won’t mind the guy having a companion!

Birds are looking for a nest, confirming our doubts that there is certainly more than mere camaraderie.
Guys, I’m talking about the relationship status that’s almost in a wavering state.
So, it reads something like this, ‘committed’ when she was going around with the lord of Hollywood, Leonardo DiCaprio, but went on to assert as being ‘single’, when the duo broke up.
Aw! We sympathized with the lady like anything!
Why did it have to happen to poor little Blake?
I hope it was not the effect of the several shattered relationships of the lady’s small screen alter-ego, Serena Van der Woodsen.
Come on now chaps, if you have also surfed through the Gossip Girl episodes, you would surely agree with me on that.

Who can forget that short affair with Dan, followed by Carter and several others!

Serena’s real life avatar, Blake Lively, is if sources are to be believed, dating ‘Green Lantern’ star, Ryan Reynolds.
Those rumors were confirmed when the said lovey-dovey went around, looking for a flat to move into.
Well, this buzz is pouring in from Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue, wherein the couple went around scouring for a home, that costs a whopping $ 4.5 million.

What is it with the ‘it’ girl?

Upper East Side Manhattan is the hub of those blessed with all the goodies as they dwell upon the trivialities and frivolities and say cheers to LIFE!
Perhaps this could be one of the many reasons that compel one to watch Gossip Girl online and catch up with the teen drama that hovers around relationships, intimacy and loads of tittle-tattle.
Serena van der Woodsen is regarded as the ‘it’ girl, partly because of her gorgeous looks and partly because of her scandalous factoids that never seem to leave her in solitary confinement.
Trust me, the more you try to dig into this fascinating, or should I say ravishing persona, the more puzzled your state of mind will become!
So I would say, just leave it guys, never mind!
Moving on, we can’t really blame the lass for her wacky ways pertaining to those spoiled brats as circumstances have in fact played a vital role in molding Serena into what we see her as today.
Remember how the lady made her foray into the small screen and into our lives through the very first season of the drama.
Well, it was Chuck who had bumped into Serena, who, in state of stupor, was trying to rip Nate off his virginity!
What? Is she a wh**e or a modern-day succubus, trying to finagle things her own way?
Absolutely not, fellas, but that’s how our beloved Serena is; she is jostling with way too many issues than she can manage.
On one hand, she is trying to come to terms with the reality that her parents are divorced; on the other, her mother announces about her engagement to Bart Bass.
If Ms. Woodsen sorts out every singular thread of her life, perhaps even we would not have strings attached with the diva.
Well, that’s the irony of fate, you see!

Leighton Meester Takes Her Mother To Court!

Yes dears, that is some gossip, actually it is more than just gossip; it’s more of a slanderous hearsay that can actually make or break Leighton’s budding career.
But yes, people, it’s true –Leighton and her mother, Constance, are now engaged in a game of bitter lawsuits and countersuits that are based upon the custody of Leighton’s younger brother, Alexander, who is recovering from a tumor removal operation.
Now, if you may recall some of Leighton’s old interviews, you will find out that Leighton’s mother was in jail when she gave birth to her lovely daughter.
And the reason behind her term was her involvement in a drug ring; now she claims to be the perfect mother to both her children.
I am not trying to bash Mrs. Meester here, no; but having to sue your own child and that, too, for a breach of oral agreements, seems more like a fishy encounter going on in the Meester household.
Leighton had sued her mother first, alleging that Constance was stealing her son’s medication, and the money that Leighton sent was being spent on botox injections, alcohol and other drugs.
It’s all going the rabbit hole, if you ask me. Lawsuits and countersuits are always costly and, in this case, settlement figures are being touted somewhere between three to four million dollars.
All I can hope for is to get this potentially ugly saga over with soon before the Gossip Girl season 5 begins, so that we can all return to the rich environs of Manhattan’s Upper East Side to be alongside the dynamic duo of Blair Waldorf and Serena Van Der Woodsen.
Gossip Girl season 5 episodes are expected to be trickier than before, especially now that Jessica Szohr and Taylor Momsen have left, and Elizabeth Hurley has joined the cast.
Hopefully, Leighton can join the rest of the cast and crew in a good shape and with a healthy mind, after finding an acceptable solution to this legal and personal battle with her mother.

How Have Girls Fared In Manhattan School? Do They Only Gossip?

The lives of teens can be awry, yet normal at the same time.
If one moment they have something extremely difficult, the other moment can bring something highly favorable for them. And you can’t ignore the factor of extreme mystery that comes attached to the teenage years.
Gossip Girl may not put the narrator on the front, as it has put characters like Serena, Blair, Chuck and Nate right on mark, to enact the entire catalog of feelings, aversion, dilemmas and emoticons.
Their role and attitude has travelled from being described as filthy by the society, to being considered as parents’ worst nightmare, and to having many seen favorable reviews.
The teens attend the Manhattan East Side’s prep school, party like they were born to party, go out on dates that resemble a self-inflicted rape, and refer to all kinds of bonhomie. Very rightly and very seductively, they have stepped into our lives.
Every Gossip Girl episode seems to be infused with a vibrancy that dwindles between the urge to accept what one has to do and what the other is doing.
But Gossip Girl’s mystery continues to top everything, even while no one is actually discussing the mystery. It may all be too easy to claim that teens live in a hyperactive world, but to put them in a show and ask to represent the same takes the cake.
Cecily von Ziegesar, on whose book the series is based, can’t be more pleased with the way Gossip Girl has become a part of everyone’s gossip.
